John & Valerie Fanthorpe are pleased to welcome you to their Site. Our friends already know what our interests are, for those who do not know we are pleased to give a brief outline of what we are into.

Our location is Baildon, West Yorkshire (lies between Bradford & Ilkley).
John’s main passion is Golf. Currently Club Captain (until March 2003) at Marriott Hollins Hall Hotel & Country Club - the course is considered ’ a good test of golf by any measure ’ although not yet three years old Hollins Hall is already a Championship Course having hosted the final English round of the Europro Championship in 2001. For 2002 we are hosting a Mastercard Tour event in August. Always pleased to discuss and/or play the noble game.

For other interests John is very keen on Family History he has a reasonable archive of information and is a strong supporter of other Fanthorpe Researchers.

Valerie is very much into horses, she shares a Danish Warmblood Gelding (King Rebel) with her daughter-in-law Sarah - this they have at Livery in Tim O’Hara’s yard. Rebel is six years old and a sweety - a real people horse. As would be expected from his breeding (Diamond Line) he is a classy mover and enjoys the show jumps.
